In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Vice President, People the Chief Project Officer Human Resource Information Systems, (CPO HRIS) has three primary areas of responsibility/accountability. Oversees/directs all aspects of human resources transformational digital capital projects including Human Capital Management (HCM), ESP Dimensions (Scheduling) and Procura. The role will accomplish this through leading a team of project directors, managers and analyst to ensure delivery on time, within approved budgets and in alignment with Island Health\'s strategic plan, provincial deliverables, Ministry of Health mandates while ensuring long term sustainability.
The role will liaise and partner with a broad range of Executives, Leaders, system integrators (external vendors and suppliers) as well as interest-holders internally and externally in the delivery of the above accountabilities to ensure digital solutions support transformation of the People processes and are able to meet reporting requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Master\'s Degree in Business Administration, IT or a related field, supplemented with fifteen (15) years\' recent related experience in progressively more complex and senior management/leadership roles in a large complex health care organization, and a strong knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Past experience with implementation of ERPs is an asset. Five (5) years\' recent, experience in implementation of organizational-wide systems and process transformation.
