The Opportunity
Reitmans (Canada) Limited is looking for a Chief of Staff to champion and support our next chapter of growth. Reporting to the CEO, this pivotal leader plays a critical role in developing and enabling business strategies with long term impact and drives the execution of strategic initiatives across the organization. Working with our CEO and collaborating closely with the executive leadership team and key cross functional stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives that foster our growth and power our organization. Acting as the bridge that links all aspects of the organization seamlessly, the Chief of Staff establishes long-term planning that paves the way for our organization\'s evolution and allows our leaders to translate the CEO\'s vision into tangible results and operating profits. What you do:

  • Working closely with our CEO to develop and drive strategic planning and, a quarterly scorecard process, cultivating, and promoting an innovative and forward-thinking environment. Guide and inspire business decisions relative to the RCL\xe2\x80\x99s long-term business growth plans and brand decision making.
  • Partner with Executive team members and key cross-functional leaders to assess growth opportunities for RCL. Taking on an influential role in optimizing business partnerships with external vendors to capitalize on economies of scale.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner and trusted advisor to the CEO and act as liaison and strong collaborator with all stakeholders including the Board of Directors, serving as a sounding board for all levels to help move decisions forward and synthesize feedback for the organization to action on \xe2\x80\x93 influencing outcomes and enabling leaders\xe2\x80\x99 success.
  • Design and implement business and operational systems and processes to support scale and lead strategic evaluation and framework and scorecard development.
  • Advocate the customers\xe2\x80\x99 interests by bringing customer centricity to the forefront of our planning and decision-making processes. Leveraging our strengths and aligning internal capabilities allowing RCL to quickly respond to rapidly changing customer expectations and evolving market trends.
  • Partner with CEO and Corporate Communications on executive communications including announcements, speeches, talking points and presentations, as well as supporting with thought partnership and preparation of materials for external stakeholder meeting.
  • Model RCL\xe2\x80\x99s beliefs and values that celebrate diversity of thought and open-mindedness - advancing a culture of continuous learning, where courage, innovation, and risk-taking are encouraged.


Qualifications
Who you are:
We are looking to bring onboard a leader with the passion and knowledge that will guide us to where we are going and growing.
  • University degree, + MBA a strong asset;
  • 7+ years of professional experience in leadership roles driving business growth, consistently delivering results, and navigating multifaceted challenges and end to end project lifecycles .
  • 5 + years\xe2\x80\x99 experience leading strategy in complex national or multinational corporations, ideally in retail.
  • Analytical, with a strong background in evaluating financial outcomes and skilled at drawing actionable insights and recommendations to advise on high-impact decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English with the ability to communicate and translate a wide range of concepts cross functionally that power the organization, including the senior leadership team as well as all external key stakeholders across Canada.
