Our client, a high growth, entrepreneurial group of companies, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. This high-impact leadership role is a a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, multi-talented leader with exceptional business acumen and decision-making skills who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. This role has the ability to work out of a multiple of their established Nova Scotia locations, including a new Halifax office.
Committed to immersing yourself into an organization and utilizing an entrepreneurial spirit, you will lead the organizations financial accounting and reporting, corporate finance, and treasury functions while playing a critical role in expanding operations.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Oversee all financial operations, including full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
• Provide strategic financial leadership, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and analysis
• Prepare and present financial statements, ledgers, schedules, and reports for senior management and stakeholders
• Develop and monitor costing and inventory-related financial strategies and projects
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and audits
• Manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and reporting standards
• Contribute to high-level business decisions by analyzing trends and providing actionable insights

Skills & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred
• 10+ years of relevant financial management experience, including experience in leadership roles and project-based environments
• Previous experience working within USD currency and international financial operations is an asset
• Proven ability to provide strategic guidance while managing day-to-day financial operations
• Professional, concise, and adaptable communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
• Open-minded and hands-on approach to solving complex business challenges
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and analytical skills with a focus on driving results
