We are devoted to making \xe2\x80\x9cSafety\xe2\x80\xa6 Our Way of Life\xe2\x80\x9d.Job SummaryReporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer \xe2\x80\x98CEO\xe2\x80\x99, the Chief Financial Officer \xe2\x80\x98CFO\xe2\x80\x99 is responsible and accountable for the overall execution of the Finance and Accounting department in all accounting processes, procedures, reporting and audit requirements in accordance with the Group of Companies business portfolio. The CFO is responsible to manage all key external financial stakeholder relationships.The CFO will work in coordination with senior leadership of the organization to ensure optimal finance support and performance to the business. The incumbent is to conduct all activities in a manner that supports the mission, vision and values of the Fort McKay Group of Companies LP.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, coordinate and evaluate the financial programs and supporting financial information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning and conservation of assets
  • Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company
  • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, position control documents, department budgets, ledger and account maintenance
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and financial reports
  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting, billing and auditing procedures
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
  • Interact with other senior leadership to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through, financial and management information analyses, reports and recommendations
  • Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
  • Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs and systems
  • Manage cash flow, cost controls and expenses
  • Analyze financial statements for alignment with strategic direction and execution
  • Establish and implement short and long term departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures
  • Timely preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting package
  • Maintain the integrity of the financial records of the organization
  • Manage budgeting process and develop required budget reports for stakeholders
  • Manage bank relationship and credit agreement
  • Establish profitability standards for investment activities
  • Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization\'s financial performance
  • Board designate where delegated
  • Other duties as required
Skills, Education and Experience
  • A Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting combined with ten (10) years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position is required,
  • Recognized accounting designation is required (CMA, CGA, CA),
  • Experience using Power BI sis required,
  • Must be proficient will all Microsoft office suite applications,
  • Experience with SAP considered an asset
  • Experience with ERP\'s such as Maximo and Field Glass considered an asset
  • Retention of a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean drivers abstract is required
