THIS COMPETITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES AT YUKON UNIVERSITY ONLY

The School of Health, Education and Human Services (HEHS) is comprised of five core programs-Health Care Assistant, Practical Nurse, Social Work, Education (YNTEP), and Early Learning. The Chair of HEHS oversees all programs in the school, including budgetary and resource considerations. The Chair acts as the direct supervisor of and support for all permanent, term and sessional faculty and administrative assistants and plays a primary role in hiring processes.

The Chair also supports students through program advising and liaising with faculty and student support staff. The Chair often meets with students experiencing challenges in HEHS programs, helping them navigate these challenges.

This competition is open to Yukon University faculty in all areas. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated ability to initiate and champion innovation and quality improvement, and interest in a YukonU leadership role.
