Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) are critical to meeting the climate goals of companies and countries alike. DNV has a strong track record in CCUS built on key research performance, the development of related Recommended Practices, and delivering advisory work worldwide. It is anticipated that CCUS deployment will grow significantly in the coming years.

DNV Energy Systems seeks a Business Development Manager: Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS), to join the CCUS Venture team. The CCUS Venture is a Global Team responsible for growing DNV\xe2\x80\x99s CCUS business through strategic growth initiatives and introducing innovative new products or solutions.

Taking direction from the Head of Business Development CCUS, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in growing DNV\xe2\x80\x99s CCUS business in the region and supporting global initiatives within the CCUS Venture.

This position can be in any of our DNV offices in Toronto, Ontario, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

  • Lead local sales and partnerships for the CCUS Venture in a defined region
  • Identification and qualification of targets for M&A activity
  • Contributing to Innovation and development of new products and services
  • Contributing to strategic marketing initiatives
  • Fostering a relevant internal and external network
  • Identifying and nurturing customer relationships, discovering needs, quantifying how DNV can add value, generating sales
  • Working with regional teams in a matrix relationship
  • Developing knowledge of competitors and DNV\xe2\x80\x99s relative strengths and weaknesses
  • Maintaining records in DNV\xe2\x80\x99s CRM system
Position Qualifications

What is Required
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field
  • Experience in the use of CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Significant experience in sales/business development
  • Strong domain knowledge and at least three years of experience in CCUS or CDR
  • Behavioral flexibility to build customer relationships, adapt easily, coach, and influence
  • Persuasive and persistent
  • Must be able to handle confidential material and comply with privacy concerns and regulations
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel ~25% of the time domestically
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
