About the Role:



Are you a dynamic and results-driven hospitality professional with a passion for sales and client service? Clarion Conference Centre is seeking a

Catering Manager

to lead our catering and conference sales initiatives. In this pivotal role, you'll drive revenue growth, build strong client relationships, and ensure seamless execution of events that leave lasting impressions.

Key Responsibilities: Revenue & Sales Strategy



Achieve and exceed banquet revenue targets aligned with annual budgets. Maximize revenue through strategic management of catering and conference sales. Collaborate with Hotel Sales to develop and execute integrated sales plans.

Client Relations & Business Development



Maintain and grow a portfolio of existing clients. Proactively identify and secure new business, including SMERF segments. Represent CHA in the local business and tourism community (e.g., Abbotsford Tourism, Chamber of Commerce).

Operational Oversight



Ensure exceptional client service by being present at major events. Attend client meetings during evenings/weekends as needed. Supervise and mentor catering team members.

Financial & Administrative



Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure accurate post-event billing within five business days. Provide market insights and recommend service enhancements.

Qualifications:



Minimum 5 years of hotel or catering sales experience. At least 2 years in a management role. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Hospitality education is an asset. Proficiency in English (verbal and written). Energetic, customer-focused, and calm under pressure.

Pay: $50,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
