We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper/Receptionist to support our team and join us. We are looking for support with inputting financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, processing tax returns, GST, and benefit applications. We are also looking for this role to help back up the team with some Receptionist duties as we all play like a team here.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeper (3 years experience needed): Job duties include working closely with the team and management to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process* Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger* Perform partial checks of the posting process* Complete tax forms* Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements* Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner*
Candidates should be familiar with accounting software packages, like Inuit QuickBooks and Intuit ProFile Taxes. However, training will be provided, should the candidate not have experience with the mentioned software.
Receptionist
job duties will be helping answer phones, checking emails as well as managing the front end including answering questions for clients, helping manage their account with us and assisting the other team members with everyday filing and document sorting/finding when needed.
Experience/Education
Our ideal candidate holds degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. 3 years experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role is a MUST.
Proven bookkeeping experience* High School Diploma or Equivalent* QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification is considered an ASSET. (QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certificate is required at start)* Proficiency in English and in MS Office applications like Word, Excel and OneNote* Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles* Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records* Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers* Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software* Able to work on their own as well as a team and engage the work needed without the need for constant supervision* Customer service orientation and negotiation skills* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work* Proficient in T1 / T2 Tax preparation / GST Preparations and Reconciliations* MUST HAVE "_Full Cycle Accounting Process_" experience*
