We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized PT casual bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our financial processes and will involve working closely with various departments to support overall business objectives.
Duties
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Assist in the preparation of HST/GST rebate.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
Provide support in resolving discrepancies and issues related to accounts.
Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of account reconciliation processes and financial reporting.
Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
Experience with non-profit or charity bookkeeping prefered.
