We are looking for a customer service oriented individual to join our team as Cashier. The ideal candidate has a great attitude and a passion for helping customers and serving our community. We\'re looking for someone who can work independently, think quickly on their feet and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. We are eager to hire individuals who will be excited about the opportunity to grow and learn in our work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services required.
- Engage and interact with customers to create a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Maintain store and department cleanliness.
- Provide directions for customers based on a thorough knowledge of item locations in the store..
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
- Perform other duties as required, including courtesy carry-outs for customers.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Handle cash transactions with the customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Bag, box or wrap packages for customers
- Process merchandise returns and exchanges
- Weigh items sold by weight in order to determine prices.
- Balances the cash drawer by counting cash at the beginning and end of the work shift.
- Provides pricing information by answering questions.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Request information or assistance using paging systems
- Other duties as assigned
