Overview

Case Worker (Temporary/Part-time)

3 days per week (Monday - Wednesday) for 9 weeks

(from Feb. 2nd - April 1st, 2026).

Rate of Pay - $28 an hour

We are seeking a part-time (temporary) case worker to assist in the delivery of REnEW - a pre-employment training program for people who experience barriers to employment in the field of energy efficiency retrofits and construction. The duties include: providing wrap-around, person-centered support for the participants throughout the program and assistance with field training.

Provide one-on-one, trauma-informed case management support Build respectful, strengths-based relationships with program participants Support life skills and employment readiness (e.g., communication, time management, workplace expectations) Assist participants with resumes, interview preparation, and next-step planning Support coordination of training schedules, certifications, and transportation supports Conduct regular check-ins to monitor attendance, progress, and well-being Support participants during field training in construction-adjacent environments Liaise with instructors, contractors, FortisBC, and community partners Maintain accurate, confidential participant records and contribute to program reporting and evaluation

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
A relevant two-year diploma with significant experience will also be considered.

Experience providing services to individuals experiencing barriers to employment, including marginalized or low-income populations Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic program environment Clear criminal record check Comfortable working in dynamic environments that include classroom and construction-adjacent settings

Assets

Experience in non-profit or community-based settings Trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, or harm-reduction experience First Aid and/or Naloxone certification Experience supporting employment or pre-employment programs
