About the Role



We are seeking a full-time Housing & Employment Case Worker to support individuals navigating housing instability and employment challenges in Surrey and Langley. This role involves direct client support, advocacy, and resource coordination to help individuals achieve stability and independence.

Key Responsibilities & Duties



Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs, challenges, and strengths Develop individualized care plans based on client goals and circumstances Link clients with community resources including permanent housing, employment and language assistance Provide referrals and information for employment agencies and government services Assist in locating rental housing for transitional support and build relationships with landlords Monitor and evaluate clients' progress toward housing and employment goals Provide crisis intervention and emotional support as needed Conduct home visits to assess living conditions and ensure safety Facilitate support groups and financial literacy workshops for clients Support clients through all aspects of housing search and placement into permanent housing after 6 months Advocate on behalf of clients in landlord/tenant issues Attend community outreach and networking events to strengthen partnerships Build and maintain trusting relationship with clients

Qualifications



Minimum two years of relevant experience working with equity denied and underserved populations Social Services Worker Diploma or related education preferred Ability to relate positively and sensitively with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds Strong connections and knowledge of relevant community service and employment agencies specifically Work BC, Skills trade BC and other relevant employment resources Excellent financial literacy, computer, and administrative skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated problem-solving abilities while maintaining healthy boundaries Satisfactory Criminal Record Check clearance Valid Canadian Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract and access to a reliable vehicle
