Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation and possess a strong understanding of various installation techniques. As a Carpet Installer, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and fitting carpet and other flooring materials in residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all installations meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Measure and cut carpet materials to fit specific areas accurately. Install carpet using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring a seamless finish. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayment. Lay tile as required, ensuring proper alignment and spacing. Read blueprints to determine layout specifications for installations. Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing flooring materials. Perform caulking as needed to seal edges and joints for a professional appearance. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service throughout the installation process. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in flooring installation or related fields such as carpentry or maintenance person services. Proficiency in blueprint reading to interpret layout designs accurately. Strong knowledge of various flooring materials, including carpet and tile. Ability to use hand tools effectively for installation tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot installation challenges as they arise. Good communication skills to interact with clients professionally and courteously. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy materials when necessary.

Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
