Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and possess the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow blueprints and specifications accurately. As a Carpet Installer, you will be responsible for ensuring that carpets are installed correctly, providing clients with high-quality workmanship that meets their expectations.

Duties

Measure and cut carpet to fit designated areas accurately. Install carpet using various hand tools and equipment. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives as necessary. Lay carpet rolls according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and fit. Caulk edges and seams for a finished look. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Read blueprints and project plans to determine layout requirements.

Requirements

Proven experience in flooring installation, specifically carpet installation. Proficiency in using hand tools related to installation tasks. Familiarity with maintenance person skills, including tile laying and basic carpentry. Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials. A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.

Pay: $17.95-$25.00 per hour
