Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation and a strong understanding of various installation techniques. As a Carpet Installer, you will be responsible for ensuring that carpets are installed correctly and efficiently, providing high-quality workmanship that meets our clients' expectations.

Duties

Measure and cut carpet to fit specific areas according to blueprints or project specifications. Install carpet using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring a smooth and secure fit. Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlayments. install smoothedge and under pad carpet stairs and stringers Utilize hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Perform caulking tasks to seal edges and joints for a polished appearance. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations on materials and design options. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.

Qualifications

Proven experience in flooring installation, particularly in carpet laying. Strong skills in blueprint reading to accurately interpret project plans. Familiarity with various flooring materials and installation techniques. Experience as a maintenance person or carpenter is highly desirable. Proficient in the use of hand tools required for flooring installation tasks. Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
