We operate primarily in Airdrie, with projects into North Calgary, Crossfield, and surrounding areas. Preference will be given to candidates that live in Airdrie.

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Deck and Fence Crew Lead to join our team for the 2026 landscape season and beyond. As a crew lead/carpenter, your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing a crew of approximately 2 -3 people (including yourself). Primarily, building & installing residential composite and lumber decks, fences, pergolas, privacy screens, sheds, and other custom outdoor lumber construction and landscaping. Occasionally, other outdoor landscaping such as paver patios, retaining walls, sod, decorative rock, water features, landscape lighting, irrigation etc.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have:

At least 3 years' professional experience in building and installing

composite

decks is essential. Experience in the framing and laying deck boards will be necessary. At least 3 years' experience in building / installing various wood fences. A positive, can-do attitude. The ability to work well with others and independently. The ability to read and interpret blueprints. Advanced knowledge of the residential deck and fence building industry. A valid Class 5 or better driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. The ability to drive a truck and trailer. A clean criminal record. A smartphone with a minimum of 5 GB of data and proficiency in using smartphone apps. At least 2 years of landscape/hardscaping experience (maintenance does not count) is a bonus. Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy weights regularly. Red-Seal is NOT required.

Position Details:

Start Date: Immediately Duration: Through October, with the potential for winter work Pay: $30 - $35 per hour Hours: 40-50 hours per week
