Overview

We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills in carpentry and construction-related trades. The Carpenter Helper will assist experienced carpenters and tradespeople in completing various building projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on-site. Candidates with maintenance person experience, woodworking skills, or familiarity with construction tools are encouraged to apply. This position offers hands-on experience across multiple aspects of construction, including framing, restoration, and installation work.

Responsibilities

Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project execution Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry tasks as directed by senior team members Aid in cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, and other carpentry-related activities Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other machinery safely and effectively Perform demolition and restoration work as needed for renovation projects Support installation of plumbing, electrical components, and HVAC systems when required Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow on-site Follow safety protocols including caulking procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly

Requirements

Basic knowledge of construction principles and carpentry practices Ability to read schematics and blueprints is preferred but not mandatory Experience with hand tools, power tools, woodworking, or related trades is a plus Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, or flooring installation is advantageous Strong work ethic with the ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently Maintenance Person experience or electrical/plumbing experience is beneficial but not required Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team Valid driver's license is preferred for site travel purposes Prior experience in construction estimating or manufacturing is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week

Work Location: In person
