Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist skilled carpenters in various construction tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong willingness to learn, a good understanding of basic carpentry principles, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with the construction and installation of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, including saws, drills, and sanders. Help in reading blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate measurements and cuts. Perform caulking and sealing tasks as needed for finishing work. Support heavy lifting and moving of materials on job sites. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to quality standards.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in carpentry and construction. Previous experience in construction or maintenance person roles is preferred but not required. Ability to read blueprints is a plus for understanding project specifications. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques in carpentry.
