Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced carpenters in various construction and renovation projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

Assist carpenters in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate project execution. Help with concrete forming, masonry, and rebar installation as needed for various construction projects. Participate in restoration tasks, including cabinet installation and flooring installation. Support construction painting efforts and assist with siding installation. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Aid in tile laying and caulking duties as required. Engage in heavy lifting and material handling to support ongoing projects. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, plumbing, electrical work, and maintenance person services as necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the job site.

Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics. Experience with concrete forming, masonry, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and roofing is highly desirable. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking techniques is essential. Knowledge of construction estimating practices is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Previous experience in manufacturing or general carpentry is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for learning new skills quickly.
