Responsibilities

Load and unload heavy materials Measure, cut and assist with formwork construction alongside carpenters and concrete masons Operating jack hammers, bush hammers, pressure washers and chippers Driving the work truck to run errands - pick up and drop off materials, tools etc. Work around equipment, other workers, and in the active construction zones Perform tasks in confined spaces and fast-paced environments while maintaining situational awareness Identify existing and potential hazards by completing field-level pre-job hazard assessments Ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

3+ years of Carpenter helper experience on major infrastructure projects Physically fit and able to walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. consistently during a 10-hour day Knowledgeable and competent with carpenter hand and power tools Experience with bush and jack hammering operations Ability to work in all weather conditions, on uneven or muddy grounds Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Mandatory valid full Class 5 driver's license with a clean 3-year driving record CSTS-2020, Confined Space & Monitor, WHMIS 2015 (training provided if needed)

Work Conditions

Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day, with occasional overtime required on weekends Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed on the project Comprehensive benefits package provided by CLAC, including extended health, dental, and prescription drug coverage Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region
