Overview

We are a busy company with a need to hire experienced skilled Carpenters to work in the Cowichan Valley from Ladysmith to Mill Bay.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach to construction projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, shape and assemble wood and other materials according to specifications. Select and use appropriate tools and materials for each project. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Conduct heavy lifting as required for materials and equipment. Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. A valid driver's license is required.
