We are looking to ?ll a combined position of Experienced Commercial Carpenter.

This multi-skilled role is viewed as highly valuable to our organization due to its demanding and diverse nature. You will not be performing the same tasks every day. We are a medium sized General Contractor based out the Moncton area since 1970.

Compensation:

This position is hourly with a rate based on proven skill, attitude and aptitude. This hourly rate will be mutually agreed upon. We are willing to pay for quality skills and positive attitude. Quali?cations and Experience:

Proven experience in commercial ccarpentry or in a similar role. Pro?cient knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction. Intermediate to advanced carpentry experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is an asset. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at an acceptable level; French is not required but will be an asset. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Perform physical labor. Review job site needs and take direction from leadership, aiming to work Ability to read drawings, schematics and sketches independently. Assist with safety requirements, rough carpentry, site logistics, and building erection. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and job site security. Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and follow safety protocols Ask for clarification when something does not seem right Operate or learn to operate equipment (e.g., forklifts, manlifts, skid steers) if needed Work at heights and in various weather conditions for extended periods. Communicate and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Secure equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area. Identify, communicate, and escalate issues to supervisors. Track task progress and ensure timely completion of assignments. Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and coworkers. Display teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations. Demonstrate pro?ciency with construction tools, materials, and methods. Think critically to solve problems and apply good judgment.
Responsibilities:

Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Reliable transportation required. Transportation will be provided if travelling out of town. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to travel and accommodate night and weekend work as needed. (rare but will inevitably be required) Consistent work attendance. Follow instruction and take initiative. Comfortable working at heights. Capable of lifting heavy items safely. Basic work boots suited for all weather sites. Basic personal tools such as hammer, measuring tape, tool belt, knife are the responsibility of the employee, all power tools and specialty tools will be provided. EWP, Forklift, First Aid, working at heights tickets are a strong asset, but not always required (training will be provided in these areas if deemed necessary) Positive attitude, self-starter, and desire to achieve and grow. The ability to practice and adapt to initiatives within the company Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction carpentry.
