Additionally, this position may be responsible for additional activities related to these events including organizing event schedules, sourcing industry partners and/or instructional coverage, promotion and basic event budgeting. The following are the primary events:

  • Skills Competition
  • GOA Trades Work Program
  • Trades Camp
  • Green Certificate
  • CWA Welding Camp

Agriculture and Trades Knowledge would be an asset. The necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, specifically one who is willing to take a risk to create opportunities;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.
  • Event planning experience
  • A valid Drivers License and clean abstract
  • Willingness travel to remote areas,
  • Able to work outside regular work day hours, have flexible schedule.
  • Able to attend training digitally or in person as required
  • Criminal record and vulnerable sector checks
