Since 1928, Glenburn has been empowering youth through outdoor education, uninhibited creativity, skill development and communal living. Our mission is to strengthen today\'s youth by giving them the tools, confidence and compassion to become tomorrow\'s role models and leaders. YMCA Camp Glenburn is a non-denominational camp, open to all.
The Opportunity: The Prep Cook will aid in the daily operations of the kitchen to ensure the health and safety of participants and staff. Menu development and food preparation will be the major focus of this position.
Responsibilities:

• Working with the Head Cook, the Prep Cooks are responsible for the preparation and service of healthy and balanced meals in a residential camp setting for approximately 180 people.
• Responsible for the general upkeep of the kitchen and its inventory.
• All members of the kitchen staff must be aware of food allergies and special dietary requirements of camp participants. This is coordinated with the Camp Wellness Director
• The Prep Cook must be available to work full time (40 hours). Work hours may vary.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Comfortable identifying and handling allergens and creating alternate menus when needed.
• NB Food Safety Course training or able to obtain.
• Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skill.
• Excellent team player.
• Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
