We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for the upcoming camp season. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers throughout their time at camp. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have a desire to foster their growth and development through educational and recreational activities.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational programs that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal growth. Educate campers on various skills through hands-on activities, games, and crafts. Provide support and guidance to campers in both individual and group settings. Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging inclusivity, respect, and cooperation among all participants. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper needs and progress. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the camp facilities and equipment. Assist in resolving conflicts among campers in a constructive manner.

Skills

Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is highly desirable. Background in Early Childhood Education or related fields is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. Ability to educate children through engaging activities while promoting learning outcomes. Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with diverse groups of children. Tutoring experience can be beneficial in providing additional support to campers as needed. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within a dynamic environment.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
