We are currently hiring for a call taker/dispatch support in Brampton
Keys to positions:
1. 2+ years of experience in an operations role within transportation industry: Customer Service, Dispatch Coordinator, Appointment Clerk
2. Strong Data Entry skills - 80% of job is entering loads into the system (Inhouse and will teach) for the Dispatch Team to assign loads/Drivers
3. Excellent communication skills- Taking Calls from customers to enter load information and help coordinate freight movements
Position Call Taker/Dispatch Support
Pay Rate $20-22/hr (Benefits, Opportunity to earn yearly bonus, and a pension package when hired on)
Location Brampton
Hours Start time will be between an 7:30AM-8:30AM start, TBD - Fully Onsite
Opportunity to be hired on after 600 hours**
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Call Taker/Dispatch Support to join our team within a busy LTL transportation environment. In this role, you'll act as the first point of contact for incoming calls and play a key part in supporting the dispatch team with daily coordination of freight movements, driver communication, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer high volume of incoming calls from customers, drivers, and internal departments
  • Accurately enter pickup requests, updates, and inquiries into the dispatch system
  • Provide timely and professional updates to customers regarding shipment status, delivery times, and issues
  • Support dispatchers by relaying information to drivers and updating shipment records
  • Monitor emails and respond to customer and internal inquiries efficiently
  • Assist in coordinating driver schedules and resolving any delivery or pickup issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all communications and dispatch activities
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and crossdock teams to ensure smooth freight flow
  • Support general administrative tasks related to dispatch and customer service
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a dispatch, call center, or transportation-related role (LTL experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong data entry and computer skills (familiarity with any dispatch software is a plus)
  • Ability to stay organized and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts if required
