As the Talent Acquisition Administrator, you will be a key contact for hiring managers and provide administrative support to members of the Calgary Police Service (CPS), Human Resources Section. Using sound judgment and knowledge of Human Resources (HR) processes, procedures and policies in this position, you will manage day-to-day responsibilities related to the recruitment process. Primary duties include:

Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, new hire orientation, testing, enhanced security clearances and polygraphs. Respond to service requests for the Talent Acquisition team including monitoring and responding to inquires through the general inquiries inbox. Assist Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialists with administrative tasks related to the hiring process including contacting candidates and scheduling interviews, preparing interview documentation and competition packages and arranging meeting rooms for interviews. Utilize the document management system Content Server to facilitate the moving of the physical files to electronic storage. Utilize various computer applications to research, analyze and process HR transactions. Obtain information, approvals and prepare correspondences, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and other documentation. Liaise with managers, HR Business Partners and other interested parties on advice, implications and actions for various HR inquiries. Access information from employees and position files, ensuring that all documents are handled in a confidential manner. Other administrative duties as required.


Qualifications

The successful applicant must possess one of the following combinations of education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and experience in recruitment, benefits or pensions, dealing directly with clients in a customer service-oriented environment: + A completed 1 year certificate and at least 2 years of related experience; OR
+ A completed 2 year diploma and at least 1 year of related experience; OR
+ A degree and no experience.
An intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required. Preference will be given to applicants who have previous HR related experience and experience working with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) or an equivalent Human Resource Information System (HRIS) system. A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues with tact, diplomacy and integrity while managing large volumes of work is also an asset. Excellent communication, efficiency and thoroughness, focus on results, relationship building, service orientation, stress tolerance, team building and teamwork.

Pre-employment Requirements

An enhanced security clearance will be conducted. Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Compensation: Pay Grade 7 $34.33 - 45.94 per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
