As the Return-to-Work Facilitator, you will oversee the coordination of return-to-work activities for sworn and civilian members who are resuming duties after medical or other types of leave. This includes managing the transition for members being reassigned from specialty units back to patrol or other positions. Primary duties include:
Communicate relevant information to supervisors, managers and employees regarding return to work activities that need to be scheduled or completed.
Contribute to the development, continual improvement and communication of Return-to-Work processes.
Ensure employee training exemption records are organized and managed effectively through timely updates, consistent documentation, and regular contact with the Ability Management Unit and Placements Unit. Participate in Use of Force annual audit.
Monitor timelines of members on leave and reach out to each member to develop a Return-to-Work (RTW) activity plan based on mandatory and self-identified training needs.
Assist with the individualized needs assessment process, coordinating input from all relevant parties.
Manage the organization and scheduling of trainings based on the assessment.
Support the Supervisor in the member's return-to-work area by guiding them on how to manage the logistics for their team's return-to-work process.
Collaborate effectively within the Ability Management and Placements Units, as well as with other units across the service.
Support the Ability Management Unit & Placements Units with Return to Work cases as required.
