As a Risk Management Coordinator, you will support the identification and assessment of the corporate risks through the yearly Integrated Risk Management (IRM) process. Your role will support Calgary Police Service (CPS) management to address and communicate to the Calgary Police Commission as well as the community about organizational strategies employed to address community concerns and risks to the public trust and confidence. Primary duties include:

  • Provide technical support to work areas at the CPS regarding the implementation of the Integrated Risk Management Framework (including methodology, tools, and templates for the assessment and management of risk at any level in the organization).

  • Help with the coordination, facilitation, research, assessment, and documentation of the CPS corporate risks.

  • Maintain the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) database, update the risk registers at different organisational levels, and provide information to the risk owners regarding risk details and mitigation strategies.

  • Support and coordinate IRM quarterly schedule with regular partner meetings, IRM town halls and participate in planning IRM reporting process with Senior Leadership and Calgary Police Commission.

  • Prepare, circulate, and facilitate various types of communications to diverse audiences from various levels of the organization.





Qualifications

  • A degree in Commerce, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in a risk management, audit, finance, accounting, or closely related field is required.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.

  • Certification and/or formal training in risk management will be considered an asset.

  • Success in this role requires: analytical thinking skills, change management skills, coaching and development abilities, advanced researching skills, exceptional communication and relationship building skills, meeting facilitating skills, demonstrated efficiency and thoroughness, and a focus on results and details.

Compensation: Pay Grade 10 $40.08 - 53.57 per hour

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.




Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
