TrafiQ Cafe & Bakery is Hiring a Full Time Pastry Professional to Join our Small Bakery Team!

We are seeking a talented and creative baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating cakes, with the ability to create visually appealing and delicious products that delight our customers. This role requires a blend of artistic skills and technical knowledge in food production, ensuring that all cakes and pastries meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Regular work schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm or Tuesday to Saturday 7:30am to 3:30pm

Duties

Experience in cake and pastry baking Proficiency using various decorating techniques, including piping & glazing Prepare cake batters, mousses, and fillings according to recipes while adhering to food safety standards. Strong communication and collaboration skills Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills The physical ability to remain upright for extended periods of time at cake-decorating workstations Basic math skills required to build and decorate cakes Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies needed for cake decoration and production.

Experience

2 Years of proven experience AND /OR a recent graduate of culinary arts who possesses a great attitude and willingness to learn in cake decorating /pastry arts Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Adept knowledge of baking and pastry arts is required.

Requirements:

Eligible to work in Canada Must currently reside in the Lower Mainland to begin work in the next few weeks Pastry School certificate Reliable, professional, high motivated, efficient, and team-oriented Must work in a clean and organized manner Passion to learn and continuously improve your skill-set Excellent command of the English language Must be physically fit and able to lift 20kg Foodsafe Level 1

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
