We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations in our vibrant cafe environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and restaurant management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to inspire and manage a diverse team. This role requires a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service, and the ability to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
Oversee cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records using POS systems, including Micros POS.
Train, interview, and develop staff members, fostering a positive team environment that encourages growth and collaboration.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Implement effective inventory management practices to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including kitchen areas and dining spaces.
Collaborate with the team to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends in the food industry.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills.
Knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Micros POS preferred).
Ability to lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership qualities in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience as a barista or in hotel settings is a plus.
