AECOM is currently seeking a CAD supervisor for immediate employment based in our Burnaby, BC office. The successful candidate will have an understanding and significant experience in civil engineering and technology principles and is very familiar with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. They will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive and enthusiasm for getting things done. The successful candidate will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, wastewater and storm water sector and should have a working knowledge of water / wastewater conveyance infrastructure in a Municipal environment.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater conveyance facilities.
• Design of systems associated with lift stations, pump stations and other mechanical equipment associated with water and wastewater utilities.
• Prepare documentation for design projects and reports
• Manage conveyance infrastructure ACAD group including workload planning, mentorship and performance management Perform constructability reviews
• Assist with preparation of construction cost estimates
• Assist with preparation of project specifications and contract documents
• Additional responsibilities will include assistance with proposal preparation; project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Technical Diploma + 8 years experience in civil engineering, design and inspection working with AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of related experience with civil engineering, design and inspection
• Proficient with MS Office Suite Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
• Eligible for registration with ASTTBC preferred
• Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients
