The R.M. of Corman Park is seeking a Bylaw Enforcement Officer (BEO) who reports to the Director of Planning and Infrastructure or delegated authority. This role will ensure compliance with applicable municipal bylaws by performing enforcement tasks, bylaw interpretation and related administrative duties. Work is to be completed in an efficient and accurate manner with emphasis on independent work habits and self-motivated initiative, to learn and excel in all aspects, while contributing to the overall corporate culture.

Duties:
Applies specialized technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address complex bylaw enforcement and regulatory compliance challenges.
Provides support and insights for specialized enforcement initiatives and departmental projects within the bylaw function.
Focuses on complex tasks such as interpreting and applying legislation, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting for enforcement and compliance tracking.
Responsibilities:
Project management of major enforcement initiatives, including development and amendment of bylaws, policies, and procedures.
Prepare and present staff reports, briefing materials, and policy recommendations to Council, Committees, and senior leadership.
Provide expert advice and guidance to department staff related to enforcement activities, compliance investigations, and policy interpretation.
Advise and support elected officials, committees, and internal departments on enforcement best practices and regulatory requirements.
Lead bylaw reviews, updates, and the implementation of new regulatory strategies.
Facilitate collaborative internal and external relationships to enhance enforcement and compliance outcomes.
Coordinate public engagement processes for community standards and enforcement initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local, provincial, and First Nations partners to ensure effective enforcement programs.
Assist the Manager, Bylaw Enforcement, in achieving departmental goals aligned with Council's strategic direction.
Oversee scheduling, budgeting, and contract management in relation to enforcement projects.
Undertake additional duties and projects as required, including acting in the Manager's absence when necessary.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field
Specialized certifications or qualifications would be considered an asset.

Wage Range
: $75,853 - $90,572; salary will be commensurate with experience and education
