YOUR ROLE

Reporting directly to the VP of Global Buying & Merchandising, the AGI Buying & Merchandising Director is responsible for delivering the best possible footwear collections to the international markets. This role is the AGI division\'s connection to the Product development teams, responsible for sharing product, package, and event needs of Franchisees & Wholesale with the PD teams. Ensuring all needs are captured and balancing consistency across regions/markets, in order to optimize sales and profitability for all parties. This role is also responsible in overseeing the handbag purchases for franchise stores and achieving sales budgets by building a strong strategy with franchise partners around pricing, selections of products and buys. This individual will play a key role in fostering cross functional team collaboration, is business minded, a strategic thinker, driven and possesses strong entrepreneurial skills.
  • Ensure franchisee product development needs are met by collaborating closely with the Product Development team
  • Effectively communicate performance and product needs to Product teams and ensure assortments fulfill all market needs
  • Gather franchise roll-up of product needs from Franchise Managers, and act as the voice of franchises during corporate Milestone meetings
  • Communicate the collection direction to the International Buying Team
  • Guide/Mentor Franchise Buyers &Managers on trends, product, buying strategies, and selection process
  • Present and sell the collections to the international buying team and franchisees
  • In conjunction with the planning team, responsible for the assortment planning for all international markets, including sku selection, quantification, pricing.
  • Sign-off on final buys for all regions regarding product selection, assortment, and depth for Handbags & Accessories
  • Develop strong business partnerships with franchisee accounts aiming for sustainable win-win results
  • Build strong strategies with partners arounds pricing, selection of products and purchases
  • Attend regular calls with Franchise partner to gain insights and action concerns
  • Evaluate, coach & train Handbag & Accessory buyer
  • Work closely with cross functional team including buying, marketing, planning, retail, finance, and supply chain to optimize the end-to-end GTM process to achieve target sell-through results
  • Prepare Market Week activities to ensure that International Division sales forecasts are met for the season
  • Plan buying schedule in AGI calendar
  • Study & monitor competitive landscape on a ongoing basis
  • Conduct market & store visits, provide follow up action plans

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Fashion, Business, or related Degree
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Superior communication & presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management & multi tasking skills
  • Strong planning, analytical mindset & problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, with excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Flair for fashion with entrepreneurial & merchant spirit
  • Passionate with solid knowledge of fashion trends
  • Bilingual with strong communication skills
  • Understanding of retail business, including buying, planning, distribution & financial/ budgetary comprehension
  • Able to collaborate and build & maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker
