Role Description

Leader of the marketing strategy and sales leadership for the dermatology division.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with both local and global team utilize in-depth understanding of the local market, therapeutic ecosystem, patient journey, payer needs etc. to articulate a clear and compelling vision and strategy for the Business Unit (BU).
  • Align with and translate global strategy into an effective Commercial Operations Plan (incl. brand plans) and ensure operational implementation and execution of these plans
  • Accountable and responsible for delivering financial targets for the BU
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Excellence team for forecasting and analytics to develop appropriate forecasts to drive commercial success and accuracy in inventory management
  • Set clear and common objectives for the BU to ensure a shared mindset and cross functional collaboration with local, regional and global teams
  • Accountable for and responsible for appropriate allocation of resources within the BU
  • Coach and develop the talent of individuals to reach their full potential and who can contribute to the LEO Pharma talent pipeline
  • Foster a strong team belonging and morale in the team while ensuring a high performing and winning behaviours mindset.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal and external partnerships through positive and collaborative interactions, to drive common business priorities and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Drive cross functional collaboration to improve customer dialogue and to ensure that scientific credibility and access considerations are built into the sales process
  • Working with the North American Sales training team/responsible group, ensure effective training programs/initiatives/facilitation to enable LEO Pharma Canada commercial team to effectively deliver the on the business objectives
  • Plan and conduct regular Business Meetings to drive business goals, and, enhance team performance and culture.
  • Monitor key operational metrics, measurements, and targets and if necessary, intervene in time to ensure risks are mitigated and opportunities realized
  • Lead development and build/maintain relationships with key stakeholder networks: KOL\'s, payers and patient groups at national level in close coordination with local teams.
Pharmacovigilance & Compliance with Adverse Events
  • Recognize that PV cases may come to your knowledge in this role and fulfil the responsibility to forward any adverse event and patient safety cases to the local Pharmacovigilance department in accordance with company policies
General
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate SOP\'s, policies and guidelines.
  • Complete mandatory training in assigned timelines upon hire as well as when new policies, SOP\'s, guidances are issued.
  • Participate in personal development and training sessions as required for the position.
  • Work in a safe manner that does not endanger yourself or co-workers. Report any health or safety concerns (internal and external) in compliance with LEO policy and standard procedures.

  • Execute other duties as may be required by Executive team members and other members of LEO Pharma\'s Management team as training and experience allow.

Qualifications:
  • Dermatology experience and current network with KOL
  • 8+ years in pharmaceutical leadership roles - broad commercial and marketing experience, preferably with sales and operational experience
  • 2+ years of post-launch biologics commercial experience
  • Demonstrated strong People Leadership experience
  • Understanding of local Canadian pricing and reimbursement landscape
  • Strong financial and business acumen
