Business Process Analyst

Vancouver, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

Master of Optimization:

You have 3-6 years of experience as a Business Process Analyst, and you're passionate about streamlining processes to achieve maximum efficiency. You can spot inefficiencies from a mile away and love nothing more than transforming them into smooth, automated workflows. Whether it's logistics or operational systems, you've got the know-how to analyze, evaluate, and refine them until they run like a well-oiled machine. If this sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and make a real impact.

This job will give you ALL the feels....

At AlgaeCal, we're driven by a single idea. To end the fear of bone loss. In the United States, an estimated 54 million people have crumbling bones. And they're scared. Scared of fractures. Scared of breaks. And, most of all, scared of losing their independence.

The good news? AlgaeCal has the world's only clinically-backed natural solution to this problem. We give hope to thousands of frightened people. If that excites you, you'll find no better place to continue your career than at AlgaeCal.

A typical day might include

Collaborate with internal teams to capture business requirements and translate them into technical specifications that enhance the functionality of business intelligence systems, particularly in relation to logistics and operational processes. Act as the primary liaison between the organization and external software providers, ensuring that the business intelligence tools are performing reliably and support logistics functions, including inventory tracking and supply chain optimization. Continuously evaluate and refine business intelligence processes, identifying opportunities for customized solutions that improve system performance, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations. Manage the implementation of system updates and enhancements, ensuring they align with logistics needs and meet all regulatory and compliance standards. Provide strategic advice on the governance of information systems, including policy development, data security, compliance with logistics regulations, and best practices for service delivery. Serve as the communication bridge between stakeholders, technical teams, logistics partners, and third-party providers to ensure clarity and efficiency in system-related decisions. Conduct thorough testing of system changes to validate accuracy, reliability, and compliance, ensuring that new features and updates meet both business and regulatory requirements.

You'll love it here:

You'll be working with a great team. The BI team at AlgaeCal has been there, done that, and got the t-shirt. They love data and create kick-ass reports for all of our Biz Units. They live and breathe data, turning complex logistics into smooth, efficient processes. They've generated more buzz than a Lady GaGa costume malfunction. And the best part? They're friendly, funny, and easy to work with. You'll use your powers for good. This isn't one of those jobs that crush your soul with mindless tasks. On the contrary! You'll be overseeing a wide range of assets that spreads a powerful message - bone loss is beatable. You won't be micromanaged. We'll give you a simple set of KPIs with crystal clear expectations. It's not a sweatshop (mostly because the AC works). If you recognize that line, you'll be relieved to know this isn't one of those Madison Avenue gigs that expects you to work ridiculously long hours and frowns upon family time. We're not like that! We enjoy our life, and we want you to enjoy yours too.

This job might be for you if you've got...

A resume that demonstrates your ability to build and lead process improvements for logistics and operational systems, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams and external software providers. A Master's degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field. Experience with Power BI and Excel is a plus. Proven experience in managing and optimizing business intelligence systems, with a focus on logistics functions such as inventory tracking, supply chain optimization, and regulatory compliance. International experience: You've worked across borders or with global teams, adapting processes to meet the unique demands of different markets and regulatory environments. Familiarity with Salesforce or Atlassian Suite: You don't need to be an expert, but having some hands-on experience with Salesforce or Jira/Confluence will definitely put you ahead of the game. If you're already a pro, even better!

Other Qualities You'll Need

At AlgaeCal we're going to insist that you have these 3 qualities:

You're humble-you put the team and others' needs ahead of your own You're hungry to learn more
You're people smart-in the sense that you're a great teammate

The truth is, if you don't have these qualities you won't last long at AlgaeCal. So if you're missing one of them, be honest. Save yourself a lot of headaches and skip to a job posting that is a better fit for you.
