ResQ is looking for a Business Operations Associate to join our highly strategic and cross functional Product and BizOps team. You will report to the Director of Product, and you will be responsible for thinking through ResQ\'s most complex and challenging problems ranging from marketplace management, customer experience, churn, strategy development, and process improvement. Your job is to simplify complexity, define structure, and help implement the most efficient use of scarce company resources (people, capital, time and focus). This role calls for creative problem-solving, advanced analytics, critical thinking, and a bias for action.

What you will do:

As a Business Operations Associate at ResQ you will be contributing in the following areas:

Owner \xf0\x9f\x92\xbc You own the analytics for a core operations function within the business and are empowered and resourced to drive 1% incremental improvement everyday!

Reporting \xf0\x9f\x93\x88 You will work with the leadership team to identify the most important metrics for the business and help interpret the data to understand the key drivers. You are great at looking at data and being able to tell a story from it.

Process Improvement \xf0\x9f\x93\x9d You will use data to help team leads optimize their functions and ensure we are operating in the most seamless way possible. You are great at taking large sets of data and complicated processes and distilling them into the most important components. You are great at making complicated things simple.

Strategic Planning \xe2\x9c\x8f\xef\xb8\x8fYou will leverage data and analysis to drive decision making and ensure all strategies and recommendations are grounded in a strong business case. You will work with functional leaders to design, implement and track experiments across the business.

Who you are:

Undergraduate business or computer science degree

You have 1-3 years experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking or private equity

You have a strong analytical toolkit; you can independently pick apart complex problems into their component parts and then derive practical data-informed solutions

You have an operators mentality; you like getting down to the 5ft level to understand and solve business problems, push for ongoing, 1% daily improvement and execute with a relentless bias to action

Nice to haves:

Experience with Excel, SQL, and BI tools, is preferred

What to expect as a candidate:

Stage 1\xef\xb8\x8f\xe2\x83\xa3 : Send us your resume and a note about how your story connects to ours. Feel free to focus on what you have learned rather than just a list of responsibilities. Tell us your story! We\'ll aim to tell you quickly if it is not the right fit so you are always informed.

Stage 2\xef\xb8\x8f\xe2\x83\xa3 : Successful candidates will meet with our Senior Talent Manager. It will be standardized to keep things fair but also with enough room to show your uniqueness. We\'ll communicate the salary range now for full transparency. If you like us and we also think there is a fit, we\'ll invite you to the next stage.

Stage 3\xef\xb8\x8f\xe2\x83\xa3 : A video call with our Director of Product, and Director, Customer Strategy & Operations who will ask you more in depth questions about your experience and skills. Come with questions! If this call goes well and we both want to move forward with each other we will ask you to complete an assignment for your next and final call.

Stage 4\xef\xb8\x8f\xe2\x83\xa3 : This round will be a case study that we will ask you to complete and present to both the Director of Product and Director, Customer Strategy & Operations. If possible, we would be thrilled to meet you in person for this round at our downtown Toronto HQ. You will receive the case study assignment several days prior to your set interview date.

Stage 5\xef\xb8\x8f\xe2\x83\xa3 : This is the final stage in the interview process and we will ask you to meet with our CEO, KJ. This will be an informal meeting and will give you an opportunity to learn more about ResQ\'s vision and mission. KJ will also ask you some more questions and he will, of course, be able to answer any additional questions you might have.
