This position is suited to an individual who has an enthusiasm for investigating, analyzing, and solving problems.
An Associate Business Operations Specialist provides claim solutions to Head Office, Benefit Payment Offices (BPO), Group Customer Contact Services (GCCS) and Field Offices.
As an Associate Business Operations Specialist, you will be developing and communicating solutions to a variety of units within Canada Life. The solutions and support you provide will be invaluable to our clients.
What you will do
- Provide direction to Benefit Payment Offices (BPO), Group Customer Contact Services (GCCS) Offices and Head Office staff on complex claim processing problems.
- Establish and implement business or system enhancements, including documentation throughout project lifecycle, for the BPOs and Head Office staff.
- Provide business and technical support to Field Office staff on complex plan designs/complicated claims adjudication.
- Extract, analyze, perform calculations on claims data from internal and external sources; compile reports for BPO, other Head Office Departments, Field Offices/Consultants, Other Insurance Carriers; will involve large volumes of data from multiple sources in varying formats and degrees of complexity. Advanced excel and database knowledge would be an asset.
What you will bring
- Business related post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Health & Dental benefits would be a strong asset.
- Business Analysis certification with strengths in data analysis would be a definite asset.
- Advanced skills in Excel.
- Word, Visio, PowerPoint & Access knowledge would be a definite asset.
- Well developed analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle changing priorities and fluctuating work loads.
