The Business Informatics department is responsible for all business systems in the Network as well as critical business operational activities. Business areas supported include Human Resources, Payroll, Supply Chain and Finance. Team members have 4 disciplines including Business, Project Management, Application and Technical. The BI Consultants support all business streams. They directly support 450+ users over 60+ jobs and indirectly support all 10000+ employees and managers for their daily self-service needs. The Business Informatics Consultant is a critical strategic partner of all business areas as well as clinical areas as needed. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting and Analytics:
Advanced Excel VBA Execute the implementation of new techniques and standards for data analytics, metrics and reporting
Participate in discussions with the business on the underlying data model requirements for future operational and performance reporting
Executing the corporate business systems reporting requirements. Ensuring appropriate reporting models are developed, maintained and modified to ensure accurate and timely delivery of reporting information.
Lead or participate in the development and maintenance of the reporting technical infrastructure
Designing, creating and maintaining dedicated database reporting servers
Leveraging key tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) in order to extract, transform and load data from multiple data sources into the reporting server.
Lead or participate in the development and maintenance of reports using multiple business reporting tools
LBI (Infor) / Crystal \xe2\x80\x93 designing and maintaining reports in multiple environments

Responsible for the development and maintenance of 35+ daily health check procedures that must be completed prior to the 7am start of each day. This is to ensure all systems are fully operational and ready for use each day.

Investigating and determining root cause for persistent or high risk alerts
Implementing appropriate resolution as needed
Applying patches to all servers as they become available to ensure no security vulnerabilities. Must ensure that no servers are compromised by malicious attacks. Patches to servers should be applied once a month, or as needed based on potential attacks.
Applying and maintaining certificates as needed to ensure secure communications. This will ensure that all critical user communications (like user passwords) are encrypted
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of SQL databases across SQL database servers.

Business:
Responsible for ensuring that they work closely with a subset of unique business roles within HR, Payroll, Supply Chain and Finance. All business application functions that these users execute as they complete their day to day tasks must be able to be fully replicated by BI.
Responsible for BI training where it relates to the subset of business roles that they support
Responsible for developing and maintaining models for Audit
Responsible for enforcing infrastructure and models for application and business auditing
Assessing risk and developing strategies for performing internal audits on master data, transactions, applications and business processes
Responsible for executing integrated transaction analysis and reconciliations.
Develop and maintain tools, models, KPIs and testing strategies in order to detect anomalies in the processing of source transactions which may cause deviation from agreed upon accounting rules and guidelines
Project Management:
Key SME on business systems operational projects.
Participate in departmental business system operational project requests
Completing feasibility studies
Creating business case for proposed solution with budget, impact, risks, resources and timelines to get executive approval
Gaining project acceptance from leadership committees

QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a relevant Information Technology Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree program in related field, or recognized equivalent combination of work experience and education required
Minimum three (3) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working with Integrated Systems
Experience with Infor Hospital applications is an asset
3+ years accounting /business experience
Working knowledge of different database systems (MS SQL Server, Oracle etc) preferred
Expert knowledge of SQL
Project Management experience \xe2\x80\x93 3+ years of successfully executing mid to large scale projects
Proficient in Crystal or other reporting tools
Experience with BI, ETL and Data warehousing tools and concepts required
