Job Description


On target income (OTI) is composed of your base salary + commission/bonus structure. OTI is a forecast of your potential earnings for the role.

Our client, a family-owned facility management company started almost 40 years ago, provides top-quality service to office buildings, hotels, restaurants, stadiums, and other commercial properties throughout the lower mainland. On their behalf, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who can help the company grow over the next several years. This individual should already have contacts in the industry and be familiar with the process behind acquiring janitorial cleaning contracts for commercial properties.

The position offers unlimited opportunities within a large territory in the lower mainland. There is great potential to earn high commissions and bonuses on top of a monthly salary.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prospect for new business while maintaining relationships with current clients
  • Secure new janitorial contracts on a consistent basis
  • Attend networking and industry events to grow client base
  • Document interactions with clients in the company CRM system to keep an up-to-date log
  • Fill out RFPs and assess quotation pricing
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of three years in sales (preferably in the janitorial industry)
  • Possess valid BC driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and reliable vehicle
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Possess superior communication skills, both written and verbal with a successful track record in working with clients/staff at all levels
  • Have a proven track record of sales excellence
  • Have a network of contacts in the property management and janitorial industries (preferred)
  • Demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills and possess the ability to work in a high volume, face paced environment
  • Have the autonomy to work independently and a part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Adopt a positive and enthusiastic, hands on approach with a strong bias to client service
  • As required, be able to work outside regular business hours
