About the Role

As a Business Analyst working within our Wealth & Personal Banking department, you will design, development and support deployment of projects for HSBC Bank Canada.

You will also work alongside Project Managers and Distribution Strategists to learn how we do project implementation and change management. You will also develop analytical and negotiation skills. To support continuous improvement, this opportunity is structured to allow creativity and autonomy in designing project implementation plans and implementing change. We are also very interested in learning from you too.

Opportunity only available for a 4-month placement (May to August).

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand the banking process to support effective implementation of transformational projects
  • Track and manage progress through status reporting
  • Capture business requirement using Microsoft Office
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to identify areas that need support
  • Contribute to change management activities such as timeline planning and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate in change interventions such as training and communication
  • Support branch network projects to optimize and simplify the branch network
  • Work closely with leaders in our Branch Network to design and implement enhanced solutions
Requirements
  • Student in University or College studying Business, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Management or Finance
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • A curious mindset, with a desire to learn; A passion for continuous improvement through streamlining
  • Empowered to speak up and suggest alternative ways of working
  • Self-starter who is motivated, outgoing, organized, and a clear communicator
  • Comfortable working in both a team environment and independently
  • Able to work under pressure with challenging timelines
