Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at Browns Socialhouse, Point Grey. In this role, you will play a vital part in meal preparation and cooking, ensuring that our guests receive high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist with meal preparation and ensure all ingredients are ready for service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a restaurant setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration. Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are essential.
