Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a bread baker. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the food industry, particularly in baking, food preparation, and customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for mixing/shaping and baking our sourdoughs, ensuring food safety standards, and providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Mixing/shaping and baking our range of sourdough breads Prepare and assemble baked goods, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met Assist with food preparation tasks including mixing, baking, and portioning ingredients Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food handling and kitchen operations Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about our offerings Follow all health regulations and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment Support the kitchen team during busy periods, contributing to efficient workflow and cleanliness

Qualifications

Previous experience in a sourdough bakery is highly preferred Restaurant or food industry experience is a plus, especially in food preparation or kitchen roles Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Basic cooking skills and familiarity with food packaging techniques are desirable Kitchen experience or background in baking will be considered an asset

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
