YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand & Product Operations, the Sample Manager is responsible for coordinating the Sample Management team in the movement of Prototypes, Sales, Confirmation & General Marketing samples to support the Product Creation & Brand teams, for all ALDO brands & divisions.

The Sample Manager plays a critical role leading the team priorities on the ground, process enhancements & documentation and managing lines of communication with both the Senior Director of Brand & Product Operations and the other brands. The Sample Manager is also responsible for representing the activities of the Sample Management team through weekly cross-functional alignment meetings.

Key Responsibilities (WOC)
  • Primary input to recruiting, performance and reward decisions for direct reports
  • Team calendar management (work scheduling, coaching, prioritization & execution)
  • Active contributor to cross-functional alignment meetings (GTM & AGI Market Week)
  • Process documentation (SOPs, seasonal Vendor communications)
  • Inbound reception prioritization
  • All system-based processes (PLM, 360, Creative Force, RF scanning, MIM)
  • Delivery milestone & inventory entries in PLM
  • Sample processing to the in-house studio for Ecomm photography
  • Sample processing to the in-house studio for AGI Market Week photography (Accessories)
  • Sample processing for 360 photography (FTW & HB)
  • Sample processing for distribution to Merchandising for in-season management activities
  • Internal distribution/circulation prioritization
  • Sample Archive management for QC-related activities & temp storage needs (Brand teams)
  • Outbound Shipping in coordination with the mailroom (PR, Social, Content Development teams)
  • Sample Sale coordination
  • Discard protocols
  • Rush lists for Ecomm photography
  • Participation in the annual OH budgeting process
DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing a team
  • Proactive, highly organized, reliable & self-assured
  • People-first management style
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Professional proficiency in English, written & spoken considering constant communications with our international clients
  • Able to guide the activities of a team and carry out time-sensitive mandates
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office: Excel & Word)
  • Retail experience or interest in fashion is considered an asset
  • Ability to physically manipulate sample bins and boxes
