Position Overview

UNIQLO Canada is seeking a Brand/Product Marketing Assistant Manager to join our Brand/Product Marketing of North America region (Canada/USA). The Marketing Assistant Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and leading local overarching brand/product marketing strategy for our core categories. They will execute 360\' product marketing plans to align global marketing directions as well as local needs.

More importantly, the Marketing Assistant Manager will be tasked with increasing UNIQLO brand awareness and preference through various marketing activities.

They will interface with various teams including: Global Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Visual Merchandisers, PR, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Inventory Planning, Finance, Store Operations and Store Managers.

  • Building brand awareness and positioning through effective product marketing and core collection support.
  • Developing and evaluating annual/seasonal marketing strategy and plans for core products
  • Identifying new customers and growth opportunities
  • Defining and evaluating competitors and UNIQLO\'s points of differentiation within the market
  • Effectively develop holistic seasonal marketing roadmap based on annual/seasonal strategy and align with both internal and global stakeholders
  • Propose both short-term and long-term marketing strategy with strong analysis in market opportunity, previous sales history, marketing spending vs. net sales, local trend, etc.
  • Plan and manage by-seasonal and by-annual marketing budget with analysis on return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
  • Manage agency relationships and conduct briefings for marketing plan development and execution
  • Assist in creation of new partnerships and programs to increase UNIQLO\'s brand awareness, sales and customer traffic to stores
  • Assist with in-store and in-market product marketing events
  • Closely communicate with external agencies to best screen incoming proposals and business opportunities
Desired Skills and Experiences
  • Bachelor degree or master degree in marketing, business, business management or related field
  • 5 years of brand or product marketing experience in developing marketing campaign, marketing strategy, and plan execution
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change
  • Previous experience managing a marketing agency is considered an asset
  • Must be able to collaborate cross functionally and willing to work in a team based environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Thrives in a hands-on working environment
