Through innovative tactics and a team-oriented approach, the brand manager will play a pivotal role in marketing new treatment options launching under the Refresh brand and managing trade partners and activities. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can identify market opportunities, execute new product launches, and lead the cross-functional team while demonstrating the AbbVie Ways of Working. This position is based in Montreal (Saint-Laurent) and reports to the Business Unit Head-Vision Care. This position is a 18 month maternity-leave contract.Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovation Strategy: Develop and execute an innovation strategy aligned with the organization\'s business goals. Identify market opportunities through emerging trends and HCP/consumer unmet needs. Collaborate with Global and other markets to develop and implement the innovation pipeline for Canada. Develop and gain approval of Business Case, including financial and volume projections.
  • Launch Support: Plan, execute, and oversee innovative launch campaigns and Sales tools from concept to implementation. Define campaign objectives, target audiences, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including R&D, Medical Affairs, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, external Trade partners and agencies, to align product launch execution and marketing tactics. Ensure successful collaboration between agency of record and AbbVie internal partners (advertising, AbbVie Care, Patient relations).
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget for new product launch projects, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation of the A&P budget.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, test consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes. Analyze data and insights to identify marketing opportunities and risks.
  • Reporting: Taking a lead role in monthly and annual financial processes, working in close collaboration with forecasting team to deliver accurate and timely output. Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management.
  • Trade Management: Manage KAM team performance. Plan pricing and promotion strategy, track and manage trade spend and budget with key retailers.
QualificationsEducation/Experience required:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in brand management, with a strong background in the over-the-counter eye care or similar category.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically in the context of business management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster a culture of collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems as they arise and seek continuous improvements.
Essential skills and abilities:
  • Advanced French and English language proficiency (oral and written).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Must be at ease with technology (the use of various tools/systems to perform day-to-day tasks).
  • Travel required about 30% of the time.
  • Valid driver\'s license and passport.
