Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the accounting and operations teams. This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity and supporting business decisions with up-to-date reporting.
What you'll do:
Record and categorize all financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, payments)
Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and accounts regularly
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
Generate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and year-end)
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports
Maintain organized and accurate financial records for audits or tax preparation
Work closely with external accountants or tax advisors
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
What we're looking for:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience in the retail, apparel, or e-commerce industry is a plus
Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify)
Knowledge of Canadian/US tax and payroll systems (if applicable)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
