Bickles Hardware has been serving Niagara Falls and the surrounding region for over 106 years. We're an industrial hardware supplier focused on service, accuracy, and keeping operations running smoothly. We're now looking for an experienced and organized Bookkeeper to join our team and help keep our financials tight and up to date.
Position Overview:
This role handles all day-to-day bookkeeping functions, from payables and receivables to reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting. You'll work closely with management and our controller to keep everything accurate and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments
Record and post journal entries
Track inventory-related costs and assist with month-end balancing
Support payroll and government remittances (HST, WSIB, etc.)
Maintain accurate records in the ERP system
Work directly with management on financial summaries and vendor statements
Assist with audit prep and year-end financials
Qualifications
3+ years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in retail or industrial supply)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Solid knowledge of accounting principles (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
Experience with ERP systems (an asset)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication skills and dependable work ethic
