Overview

We are looking for a full time bookkeeper, to clean up our books and make sure they are all proper going forward. We need you to be comfortable with Quickbooks online, as well as online payment processors like stripe and paddle. We are based on Quebec, Canada, so we also require an understanding in quebec, canada tax law

Duties

Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare and maintain budgets, providing insights into financial performance. Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Utilize accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero for record-keeping and reporting. Generate financial reports to assist in decision-making and strategic planning. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information. Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within accounting or finance. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero. Experience with account reconciliation, budgeting, payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills for liaising with team members and external stakeholders. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
