Summary



We are seeking a

detail-oriented, client-focused accounting expert

for our Edmonton team. This hybrid role combines traditional bookkeeping responsibilities with a key position on our

Alinity Help Desk

, supporting clients in applying the accounting features of our software platform.

To be considered for this role, you

must be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada

and based in Edmonton, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities



Bookkeeping



Maintain accurate daily financial records and ensure all transactions are properly categorized. Create and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. Process supplier payments and reconcile vendor accounts. Reconcile bank and credit card statements. Complete GST/PST filings. Process and reconcile payroll Assist with new employee setup. Document updates to internal processes.

Client Support - Alinity Help Desk



Provide front-line support to clients using Alinity's accounting features, including:

Troubleshooting invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation issues. Guiding clients through setup and configuration of financial modules. Assisting with reporting, exports, and integration with external accounting systems. Collaborate with the product and QA teams to escalate and resolve complex issues. Document client feedback and contribute to help articles and training materials. Participate in onboarding sessions and webinars to help clients understand financial workflows in Alinity.

Required Skills and Experience



Minimum

2 years bookkeeping experience

. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial workflows. Proficiency in

Xero

,

QuickBooks

,

Simply

, or

Sage

accounting software. Expertise in

GST/PST filings

and compliance. Advanced

Excel

skills, including the ability to analyze data and develop complex financial models. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-accountants. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. French language skills are an asset.
